Maintenance Schedules for Equipment

You can set up preventive maintenance schedules for your equipment in EZM Web maintenance software with only a few mouse clicks!

To set up a complete preventive maintenance schedule for a piece of equipment, all you have to do is select the appropriate maintenance profile when entering that piece of equipment into EZM Web:

A maintenance profile is a complete description of the maintenance requirements for some kind of equipment. In the above image, you can see maintenance profiles for a computer, an elevator, and a forklift. For example, if you are entering a forklift into the program and want to set up a maintenance schedule, you would simply select the "Forklift" maintenance profile which you created.

A maintenance profile only needs to be created by the user one time. After it has been created, it can be applied to all of the equipment that have the same maintenance requirements. For example, if you are entering 20 elevators into EZM Web to track maintenance for them, you only need to enter the maintenance profile one time and then just choose that maintenance profile for all 20 elevators. In other words, you do not have to enter all of the details for a complete maintenance schedule for the elevators 20 times.

A maintenance profile consists of the following:
  • One or more periodic preventive maintenance tasks. These tasks are scheduled to take place every so many days (chosen by you) or after so many hours of equipment usage. The frequency at which these tasks take place is chosen by you.
  • Each periodic preventive maintenance task also contains the materials needed to perform the maintenance, the components/parts of the equipment that must be inspected and possibly replaced, and the sequence of steps needed to complete the maintenance.

Here's a graphic that illustrates the structure of a maintenance profile:

Entering and Viewing Equipment
1. If we enter a maintenance/service procedure once, can we use that procedure on another piece of equipment or vehicle without having to re-enter it?
Yes, of course! In EZ Maintenance Web, you can create a maintenance profile that describes the maintenance schedule and materials used for a number of similar vehicles, and any time you want to reuse this maintenance schedule for another vehicle, all you have to do is select it when creating the new vehicle and all the scheduled maintenance for the vehicle will be created.
2. Can we enter both detailed instructions on how the scheduled maintenance or service is to be performed and the parts and materials required?
Yes, you can enter the individual steps to perform scheduled maintenance as well as the materials used in the maintenance and the parts on the piece of equipment that are to be serviced. All of these items will be printed on the work order.
3. If I forgot to enter something in setup, do I need to go back to setup?
EZ Maintenance Web allows you to add to or revise any information in Setup at any time. So if you want to, for example, create or modify an existing equipment maintenance profile, this can be done not just when using the application for the first time, but also at any time during which you use EZM Web.
4. Can I organize material names/numbers in alpha or numeric sequences?
Yes. EZ Maintenance Web allows you to change the display of tables of information by clicking on the column headers for the tables. For example, you could sort a table of the materials you use for maintenance by the name of the material or the material numbers you use to catalogue them.
5. Do I need to enter every service or material I'll ever use?
No. EZ Maintenance Web allows you to enter additional materials and services as you need to and as your maintenance requirements change and grow.
